# Delete a Pantrove Account

Delete your Pantrove account, remove sign-in access, and understand retained shared records, photos, backups, and store subscriptions.

- App: Pantrove: Grocery List (https://beenmoss.com/projects/pantrove.md)
- Last updated: October 9, 2026
- Web page: https://beenmoss.com/projects/pantrove/account-deletion

## Delete inside the app

1. Open Pantrove and sign in.
2. Open Settings → Delete account.
3. Review the warning, type DELETE, and confirm.

> If you are the only owner of a household that has other members, Pantrove asks you to transfer ownership first. Local data for your account is cleared from the device.

## If you cannot access the app

Email pantrove@beenmoss.com from the address registered to the account with “Pantrove account deletion” in the subject. We may ask for limited verification, but never for your password or a reset link.

## What is deleted

- Your sign-in methods (email and password, Google, Apple), active sessions, password-reset records, and notification devices.
- Your email address, display name, and password hash are removed or replaced. An anonymized account row and technical identifier remain for shared records. Pantrove purchase and entitlement records are removed.

## What stays for other members

Items and photos in shared households remain for the other members, with your display name replaced by “Former member”. Household records may still refer to an anonymized technical account identifier. Sole-owned households are made inactive and memberships and invites removed; their stored items and R2 photos are not automatically purged. Contact support to request removal of retained content, subject to other members’ rights and legal obligations.

## Cancel subscriptions separately

Account deletion and uninstalling do not cancel a Google Play or Apple subscription. Cancel renewal with the store first. Deletion removes Pantrove purchase records and household ad sponsorship; the store may retain transaction records. Store refund rules and applicable consumer rights still apply.

## Limited retention

Private database backups have a 14-day retention policy. Photos are stored separately and are not part of those database backups. Google, Apple, and advertising providers retain their own records under their policies and applicable law.
