## Who Trekspell is for

- **Hikers and backpackers:** Every piece of gear, its weight, and what each pack can carry, kept in one place.
- **Trekkers and campers planning a trip:** Build a packing list for each trip and watch the weight add up as you pack.
- **Anyone heading off-grid:** Tour Mode works without a connection, so the checklist comes along.

## Features

- **Gear inventory:** A reusable gear inventory with weights, volumes, quantities, photos, favorites, categories, and fast search.
- **Backpack profiles:** Backpack profiles with empty weight, capacity, recommended load, and a clear view of what each pack can carry.
- **Live packing lists:** Trip packing lists with live weight totals, packed state, missing essentials, prerequisites, and wishlist items.
- **Offline Tour Mode:** An offline Tour Mode with large, focused controls for checking equipment away from a connection.
- **Learn from the trail:** Post-trip reviews and statistics that help refine a kit using experience from the trail.
- **Guest or synced:** Use core features locally without sign-in, or choose a free account for cross-device sync and Cloudflare-hosted gear photos.
- **Free, with optional yearly Premium:** Free supports 1 photo per item. Premium adds ad removal and 3 photos per item. The planned US$2.99/year subscription is being prepared and is not yet available; the store checkout will confirm localized pricing.

## Principles

- **Offline at heart:** Gear and packing remain useful on the trail, with the local database serving as the primary working copy.
- **Prepared, not overloaded:** Weights, capacity, prerequisites, and missing-item checks make omissions and unnecessary load easier to see.
- **Calm on the trail:** Tour Mode keeps packing controls large and focused, without ads interrupting active trip work.
