# Delete a Trekspell Account

Permanently remove your Trekspell account and associated app data, or clear guest data that exists only on your device.

## Delete an account in Trekspell

1. Open Trekspell and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Open More → Privacy & account data.
3. Optionally export the records you want to keep.
4. Choose Delete account permanently.
5. Confirm with your current password and complete the final warning.

> Account deletion is permanent. It does not cancel a subscription purchased through Apple or Google; cancel that separately in the purchasing store.

## If you cannot access the app

Email trekspell@beenmoss.com from the registered account address with “Trekspell account deletion” in the subject. We may ask for limited verification before deleting server data, but we will never ask for your password, reset token, or authentication code.

## What is deleted

- Account details, authentication tokens, active sessions, and server-side profile data.
- Gear inventory, categories, images, prerequisites, relationships, backpacks, trips, trip items, packing state, missing items, wishlists, reviews, and sync records associated with the account.
- Active Trekspell entitlement records and provider-hosted media under our control, subject to provider processing time and required retention.
- This account’s secure tokens, local images, and database records on the device completing deletion. Other accounts and guest records on the same device remain.

## Limited retention

Limited records may remain in restricted backups, provider or security logs, and store transaction records for applicable retention periods, or where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, disputes, or financial recordkeeping. This does not preserve an active account or make deleted records available for normal product use.

## Guest-mode data

Guest mode does not create a Trekspell server account. Delete guest records with the app’s local data controls, clear Trekspell storage in your operating system, or uninstall the app. Delete exported files separately from every location where you saved or shared them.
