Fuellin Privacy Policy
How the offline-first fuel and mileage tracker handles local records, optional backups, advertising, purchases, and support messages.
1. Privacy overview
Fuellin: Fuel Log is published by MD HABIBUR RAHMAN under bee n moss. The Android app is available on Google Play as com.beenmoss.fuellin; the iOS version is in preview preparation. Core fuel logging works without creating a Fuellin account.
Vehicle and refill records are stored in the app’s local database. They are not sent to us merely because you save them. Optional cloud backup, advertising, store purchases, exports, and support use the services described below.
2. Information stored on your device
Fuellin may store vehicle names and details, odometer readings, refill dates, fuel quantity, unit price, total paid, currency, full or partial tank status, fuel station, notes, unit and theme preferences, and calculated mileage or spending summaries.
This information supports logging, history, calculations, reports, exports, backups, and restore. Fuellin does not request precise or approximate location, contacts, camera, microphone, health information, or payment-card details for its core features.
3. Optional backups and exports
- Local backup files, CSV exports, and PDF reports are created only when you choose. Once shared elsewhere, the destination app or storage provider’s privacy practices apply.
- On iOS, an enabled iCloud backup stores versioned snapshots in the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account. Fuellin keeps up to five successful snapshots per installation.
- Google Drive backup is optional and appears only in builds where it is enabled. Connecting it uses your selected Google account and the limited drive.appdata permission for a hidden app-specific folder; Fuellin cannot read your normal Drive files. Disconnecting stops future access but does not delete existing snapshots. Google API data is used only for the backup feature, not advertising, and its use follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
4. Advertising and Premium
The free plan may display Google AdMob banner ads. When ads are requested, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares IP addresses (which can estimate approximate location), device identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic and performance information. Google processes this information for advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. This is separate from your local vehicle and refill records; those records are not included in ad requests. A recognized Premium entitlement suppresses Fuellin banner ads.
Where required in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google’s consent message offers Consent, Do not consent and Manage options before eligible ad requests. Manage ad privacy choices in Settings lets you revisit your choices when the consent service requires that entry point. Ads are requested only when the consent SDK permits them. Advertising identifiers can also be managed through your device settings. Google’s privacy practices are described at https://policies.google.com/privacy
Purchase information
Google Play or Apple handles Premium checkout and payment details. Fuellin processes product identifiers, purchase tokens or signed transaction information and store-reported status on your device to verify purchases and restore access. It stores a minimal last-known entitlement and check time for temporary store unavailability. Payment details, authentication tokens and store receipts are excluded from vehicle backups. Fuellin does not receive your payment-card or bank details.
5. Sharing and service providers
Fuellin does not sell your vehicle or refill records and has no developer-operated server that stores them. Apple and Google process information for optional backups and store billing. Google also receives advertising and consent information when the free plan requests ads, subject to applicable consent choices. Exports go to the destination you select. Support receives only what you choose to send. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or reasonably necessary to protect security and prevent abuse.
6. Retention and deletion
- Local records remain until you edit or delete them, use Delete local data, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
- Local and exported files remain wherever you saved them until you delete them there.
- iCloud or enabled Drive snapshots remain until automatic retention removes older snapshots or you delete them in Fuellin or through the provider’s controls.
- Advertising, consent, and store purchase records are retained by their providers under their policies.
- Support messages may be retained while needed to answer the request, prevent abuse, and keep necessary records.
7. Your choices
- Use the core app without a Fuellin account.
- Edit or delete individual vehicles and refill records.
- Export your records or create and remove backups.
- Manage available ad privacy choices in Fuellin Settings.
- Delete all local Fuellin data before uninstalling.
8. Security, children, and changes
Fuellin uses platform storage protections and validates backups before replacing local data, but no storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting exported files and device backups.
Fuellin is intended for adults managing vehicles and is not directed to children. This policy may change when features, providers, or legal requirements change; the date above identifies the current version.
Privacy requests and international processing
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, object to certain processing or complain to your local data protection authority. Use the in-app controls for local records, the provider’s controls for cloud and store data, or contact us about information you have sent to support.
Apple, Google and email providers may process information outside your country under their own privacy policies and applicable safeguards. Their retention and request procedures apply to information held by those providers.
9. Contact
For privacy questions, email [email protected] with “Fuellin privacy” in the subject. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, access tokens, store receipts, or complete backup files unless specifically requested through a secure support process.
