Can I download it yet?

Pawboxed is a playable development prototype. Android and iOS releases are planned; final mobile balancing, device checks, signing, and store release work remain. There is no public store download or testing link here yet.

Trap a cat

Move with WASD or arrow keys, swipe the board, or select D-pad controls in Settings. Push movable bricks into a cat’s escape routes; fixed walls cannot be pushed.

All eight neighbouring escape directions must be sealed, including diagonals. A cat touching another living cat cannot transform until they are separated. A sealed, isolated cat turns into cheese; collect cheese to gain points and restore a life up to the cap.

Learn, pause, and retry

The first three levels are guided and untimed. From level 4 onward, cats move and hazards and waves gradually appear. Watch the wave countdown and cat pace.

Pause to conceal the board or restart the current level. Backgrounding also pauses play. Reduced motion changes presentation rather than the rules; speed settings change cat and yarn pace.

Modes and local records

The campaign contains 50 handcrafted levels with saved stars and unlocks. Daily uses a date-seeded board and local records; it does not submit scores online. Endless currently loads separate generated boards with score and lives reset each time.

Daily and Endless results do not unlock campaign levels or add campaign stars. There is no account or cloud save to recover deleted local progress.
